Worms 2 or “Worms Open Warfare 2” is part of Team17 Software’s worm games collection. Team17 Software worm games are video games that feature a number of unique and bizarre weapons and a band of feisty little worms. These video games use odd animation and bright landscapes to create a wacky and wild war-like game for all ages.
Worms 2 or Worms Open Warfare 2 builds upon the success of the game “Open Warfare.” In addition to the classic Deathmatch mode, the game also includes robust new single and multiplayer modes such as Rope Race, Fort, Puzzle and Campaign modes that challenge players to use new strategies and teamwork to defeat their enemies. The new Firing Range allows gamers to test their weapons skills, including 11 new weapons like the Bunker Buster and Buffalo of Lies as well as classics such as the Super Sheep, Concrete Donkey and the Holy Hand Grenade. Gamers that take the battle online will be able to demonstrate their Worms combat prowess with daily updated stats and leader boards on the official Worms website. Players will also enjoy the new, in-depth customization options including custom landscape and team flag editors in addition to modified hats, tombstones and victory dances for their worm teams.

Developed by Team17 Software, Worms the Game is a series of turn-based computer games. This means, the flow of the game is partitioned into precise and visible parts called turns or rounds. Here’s how Worms the Game works:
Each player in the game controls a small platoon of animated worms. The platoons battle other computer-controlled worms or player controlled worms across a reshapable landscape. Although the game is war-based, the animation is humorous. During the course of the game players take turns choosing their worms and whatever tools and weapons they prefer in order to kill the opponents worms. Once they kill all of the opponents’ worms, they win the game. The worms move about by walking, jumping, bungee jumping, and by using ninja ropes. The players have to think fast because each move is timed. The players can’t waste time thinking, if they do – they are out of the game!
So how do worm’s get killed or die? The worms die when:
- A worm’s health is reduced to zero
- A worm enters the water by falling off the island or through a hole
- A worm is thrown off of either side of the arena
Worms the Game has more than fifty weapons at the player’s disposal. Many of these weapons spawn from inside jokes or popular TV programs and movies inspire them. A good example is the Holy Hand Grenade, which was inspired by Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Just a few weapons include:
Holy Hand Grenade
Indian Nuclear Test
