“I was taking a bath when I saw two small worms in it with me”, writes Pam in her submission about the tiny, black worm-like creatures pictured below. “I want to make sure that they are not harmful. They had larger “heads” and thinner yellow and black tails. I have never seen them before.” To start with, we want to thank Pam for the excellent photos she sent us: the resolution is so good that we can even see the finest details on these critters when zooming in on the photos. And it was because of this that we managed to come to a conclusion regarding their identity. Well, sort of.

“I found this in my bathroom where the water is leaking from the water sprayer”, states this reader in her submission regarding the long, red worm-like organism pictured below. “When I was cleaning the bathroom I found the first one. I asked my family to get rid of it because, frankly, I can’t stand worms or insects anyways. They did get rid of it and I thought that this was over with, but apparently not because today I found another one in the exact same place. I am so very concerned as to where it came from. Any help you could provide would be very much appreciated. I’m from Iraq. I don’t know if my country has any factors that could lead up to this, but just in case you needed that info. “Can you help me ID this worm?” asks this reader in his submission concerning the reddish brown creature pictured below. “I found it in the morning in my toilet before anyone had gone to the toilet.”

A concerned woman recently wrote to us about her mom’s discovery of worms in her bathroom. The worm in the picture below appears to be pink and brown in color, and is a long, tubular shape.
