A reader just asked us what species of worm is brown colored, small, and curls up when touched. We believe the specimens in question are millipedes.
Millipedes are actually arthropods, not worms. They are brown, segmented creatures that curl up into a C-shape when they feel threatened as a defense mechanism.
We often hear from readers about millipedes when they discover many of these creatures on their patios or driveways after heavy rainstorms.
To sum up, a reader asked us to identify a certain arthropod by one of its characteristics and we were happy to oblige.

Okay so I found a larva thing under my bed and the thing is that all I’ve found are dead skins of it. It’s curled up like a millipede would be but the front it broken there are different sizes ones under there and I haven’t found the one with guts yet. What is it?? It also looks like a carpet bettal larva but I don’t know what it is
